Tuna Patties with Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients: 

2 tablespoons of ketchup
3 teaspoons Smart Balance Omega Plus light mayonnaise dressing
2 teaspoons horseradish
½ cup Smart Balance Omega 3’s Oil
12 oz. can of albacore tuna in water, drain and rinse.
1 large egg
1 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
1/3 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
¼ cup finely chopped celery
4 finely chopped green onions
½ cup Smart Balance Fat Free Milk and Omega-3s
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Cook Time: 

10 minutes


Yield/Notes: 

Makes about 10 patties
Serve with the horseradish dipping sauce

STEP 1:

 

Mix together, 2 teaspoons horseradish, 3 teaspoons Smart Balance Omega Plus light mayonnaise dressing, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, set aside for dipping sauce

STEP 2:

 

Next, mix well the tuna, egg, bread crumbs, bell pepper, celery, onions, Smart Balance Milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

STEP 3:

 

Roll mixture into palm of hand making a round patty

STEP 4:

 

Heat Smart Balance oil in skillet

STEP 5:

 

When oil is hot, place the patties into skillet

STEP 6:

 

When side is golden brown, turn the patties over onto uncooked side
