Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 Cups Smart Balance Original Buttery Spread
1 Cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
3 3/4 Cups sifted flour
Pecan or Almond halves (optional)
Raspberry, Apricot and Strawberry spreadable fruit or preserves.

Recipe Steps

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Cream Smart Balance Original Buttery Spread and sugar together.

Add Smart Balance egg yolks, salt and vanilla and blend well.

Gradually add flour and mix well.

Form dough into balls the size of a small walnut. Dent each ball in the center with you thumb. Fill dents with a small amount of spreadable fruit or preserves.

Bake at 325 degrees until golden brown, approximately 12-15 minutes.

Place on a cooling rack until cool.

Store in a tightly closed cookie tin.
