Description:
Grilled NY Strip Steak
Difficulty: Easy
Course: Dinner
Main Ingredient: Beef
Ingredients:
12oz NY Strip steak
Prep Time:
1 hour
Cook Time:
12 minutes
Yield/Notes:
The salt is important but can be omitted. The salt breaks down the meat and draws water out of the steak giving you a more tender and flavorful steak. You'll never need to salt your steak again and this turns 'ok' cuts into GREAT cuts.

Hi jdoria,
Yes it's a typo! Rinse the steak clean of salt and pat completely dry before grilling.
Don't by shy with the salt either! It should be a coating. Most of the salt will wash away when you rinse the meat.
I will try this recipe but what do you mean by "rise" the steak? Is it a typo and you mean rinse? Want to make sure because I do not want to do anything that would lose it"s flavor.

This herb and garlic rub was absolutely fabulous!! Best steak I've ever had (and I've had a LOT of steak)!! Definitely keeping this on the menu.
